Lecture: It’s Not Free Speech: Race, Democracy, and the Future of Academic Freedom

PSU-AAUP/AFT is pleased to announce a lecture at Plymouth State University on November 16th at 6:00 PM, a chat with Michael Bérubé and Jennifer Ruth, authors of It’s Not Free Speech: Race, Democracy, and the Future of Academic Freedom.

Co-sponsored by PSU-AAUP/AFT, the PSU Open Learning and Teaching Collaborative, and the PSU Center for Diversity, Equity, and Social Justice. If you click through to the Intersectionality Talks lecture series page, you’ll find an excerpt from It’s Not Free Speech (which folks can comment on via Hypothesis) and a Zoom registration link. An on-campus dinner will start at 5:30 PM (primarily geared toward PSU students and sponsored by PSU Residential Life and Dining Services).

The lecture itself will occur in Zoom from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and will include Q&A.

Free and open to the public! This lecture will be recorded and made available on Intersectionality Talks’ website.
